Trying to get playit working today and system is stalling at "installing .NET.Framework 4.7.1..." - system said I needed this for playit to work today. Can anyone advise what I should do other than scream out of the window

What version of Windows are you running? If you have Windows 10 with all the latest updates applied then .NET Framework should already be installed.
