Software intermittently locking up

I’ve been using play it live for several months. On a windows 10 based system My music and media is stored on a remote drive accessed via USB3. The software will run fine for 3-5 days then for no apparent reason will lock up and stop. There is no way to correct this without shutting down and re starting the software. Any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Hopefully this will help diagnose where the problem is lying.
