Delete a track from one filter Track Group and it disappears from another filtered track group

I uploaded All Songs from my PC.
I then filtered these tracks into their constituent parts.
Country Songs filtered by Genre =!Country
Christmas Songs filtered by Genre Contains Christmas.
Some Christmas songs appear in the Country Songs filtered track group. Probably because they have the genre Country Christmas.
When I remove a Christmas song from the Country Song filtered track group, the song is removed from the Christmas song filtered track group and the All Songs listed track group. Is this correct? I would have thought that the filtered track groups are subsets of the All Songs track group and that if you removed a song from a filtered track group that it wouldn't also remove from what I thought were independent filtered and listed track groups.
