Regarding your request, while this sounds straightforward, it falls down if the individual elements durations are changed dramatically which would result in the timing of other elements being out of sync. This is why the decision was made to include it directly in the recording.

Currently, while PlayIt Live (and Playit Voicetrack) lets me play out music beds, SFX, jingles, etc., while recording VoiceTracks, everything gets mixed down to a single track. This means if I want to adjust a production element (like moving a jingle earlier or later), I’d have to re-record the entire segment.
A multi-track editor would let users tweak individual elements post-recording, saving time and offering more creative flexibility. It’d be especially handy for stations that want to refine shows without juggling external software.
