PlayIt Live Streaming

Good afternoon Jason and PlayIt Live Forum Group.  Yesterday, 23May25, I installed Windows updates on our Virtual Private Server.  After the updates were installed, I stopped the PlayIt Live stream and stopped the station.  Then I restarted the VPS.  Once I was able to reconnect to the VPS, I got PlayIt Live running again and started streaming.  I monitored our LIve365 stream to make sure everything was ok.  As a backup, I have Live365 scheduled with its own programming.  As I was monitoring the stream, I noticed that a Live365 track was interrupting the PlayIt Live stream for about 10 seconds and then the PlayIt Live stream would resume.  I thought maybe it might be a few minutes for the system to work out the problem.  That few minutes turned into a few hours.  Attached are two samples I airchecked and sent to Live365 to determine what the cause would be.  Also attached is a screenshot of the now playing option.  Does anyone know if it's possible to export the processing log?  Right now, I'm using the Live365 backup mode until I can determine how to fix this problem.  Has anyone else encountered this issue?  All I did was a routine Windows Update.  I'm also working with the Virtual Private Server Provider to see if it may be a VPS issue.  I'll keep you updated on my progress and let you know what the outcome will be for future occurrances of this nature.  Thanks.  Have a Blessed Day, Dan

Good afternoon Jason and PlayIt Live Forum Group.  Great news!!!  On a hunch, I restarted the VPS.  After allowing it to finish, I opened PlayIt Live and started the station and then restarted the stream.  From roughly 324PM to 405PM, I monitored the Live365 stream.  No interruptions!  Thank you JESUS!!!  Looks like the VPS just needed to be rebooted a second time.  Not sure if that was the cause for the streaming issue.  Hope this helps with anyone else who encountered this problem.  It's a simple fix.  This is a big relief to know that the VPS, PlayIt Live and Live365 are stable again.  Have a Blessed Weekend, Dan

As a general observation, PlayIt Live works well on dedicated hardware that is suitably powerful.

With a Virtual Private Server you will get a propotion of a very powerful machine and quite possibly the "clean up" processes were leaving insufficient resource to allow PlayIt Live to run well.

For reliability, I think I would have two machines and do a change over (at a suitable time - probably "out of hours") when doing updates so that the machine having the update gets a good time to sort itself out before needing to run PlayIt Live "live".
