Having done this sort of thing for several stations I suggest Total Recorder. Can be configured in 30 minute, or whatever you choose, increments and saves these chunks with a filename that denotes the date and time.
Had to do this for OfCom purposes with a couple of broadcast stations. Also helped with off-the-air monitoring.

As lots of radio stations now also have a live stream, it would be useful to record that stream in stead of an analog input. So something like an url to record I guess.
Any ideas?
