I have just downloaded this software in order to create and broadcast a radio show.

What i dont understand, is that play it live broadcasts where and how?

Sam broadcaster and radio dj whi i recebtly tried to use where using shoudtcast i beleive

Michael, Taking the example of BUTT (as linked above), BUTT takes audio from a soundcard and streams to a Shoutcast or Icecast server. I've not used them, but for a few streams and experimentation there are free Icecast or Shoutcast servers (Google will find them). In the simplest form, take the audio from a soundcard fed by PlayIt Live and put that audio back in to a soundcard input which is the source for BUTT. A mixer in that loop would be useful if you wish to add a microphone.

I love 'Playit Live' and it works great. I have downloaded Icecast and set that up and it works, (it's a miracle) so the whole thing goes 'on air' no problem .. but ... we're an online radio station and want people to be able to click a link on our website and listen .. As I'm a complete dummy, please be gentle with me. My question is, ... What do I link to? and where do I find whatever I need?

Hello Thank you for the information I am not an experr with technologie Is the addition of the encoder complicated, or us it simple I do not want to ger into some dufficult technologie issues Thanks I forgot After the encoder, what happens next?

Hi Michel,

It is not currently possible to broadcast directly from PlayIt Live to a Shoutcast server in the latest version (1.08). Work is currently in progress to develop a plugin for the next version of PlayIt Live to be released later this year. In the meantime, you will need to use an external encoder such as Broadcast Using This Tool (BUTT).
