is there a way to set manual mode,so it doesn't automatically start playing another song in the que unless you press play? I would like to start announcing at the end of a song without pressing stop on a deck first so it doesn't keep going.

Individually, clicking the down arrow by a song will stop the next song playing without a manual start.
I don't know of a global option for this although, I think, if you drag files in to the playlist via Windows file manager you always have to start the next song manually.
If you don't want the excellent "auto" mode of PlayIt Live, a different program might be worth a look. Mixxx is a good freeware choice in the dance DJ space and might be more what you want.
