Please follow this guide if you are having trouble playing back audio in PlayIt Live:
I do not hear any audio but timers and progress bar do progress
- Ensure the audio device speaker/fader is physically turned up.
- Ensure the expected audio device is selected in Settings
- For Live-Assist (default), go to File > Settings > Live-Assist Mode tab and ensure the expected audio device is selected for each player.
- Press OK to confirm the changes.
- NOTE: You may need to also set other audio devices for Decks Mode or Track Editor if you are prompted that these are not set.
- For Live-Assist (default), go to File > Settings > Live-Assist Mode tab and ensure the expected audio device is selected for each player.
- Ensure PlayIt Live is not turned down via the Windows Mixer.
- Right-click the Start button and select Run
- Type sndvol into the Open textbox and click OK.
- Select your audio device and scroll across to PlayIt Live and ensure it is turned up and not muted.
- Right-click the Start button and select Run

- If there are multiple audio devices that look similar in the audio device dropdown for each player it is possible that these are conflicting with each other. Usually this is because both a WDM and ASIO driver are provided for the audio device.
- Under File > Settings > Advanced, type:
NoAsio
into the Additional Advanced Settings box. - Restart PlayIt Live
- Ensure the expected audio device is selected in Settings and try playing audio again.
- Under File > Settings > Advanced, type:
Audio plays for a while and then unexpectedly stops mid-track
- Ensure that your audio device does not allow applications to take exclusive control.
- Open the Sound Control Panel: right-click the Start button and select Run
- Type control mmsys.cpl into the Open textbox and click OK
- Double-click your playback audio device and select the Advanced tab
- Un-tick Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
- Click OK and OK again.
- Restart PlayIt Live
- Open the Sound Control Panel: right-click the Start button and select Run
